| Blue Torso A figurative bronze sculpture by Laury Dizengremel |

Anatomy, the human form (male or female, but in this case certainly female and real - not doll-like)... I love forms, whether faces, male or female bodies or abstracts, and the feel of their curves and shapes beneath my hands as I work in clay, then later when I touch the bronze. As a kid, besides wanting to be an architect, dancer and writer... I also dreamed of becoming a doctor or surgeon - it is to these urges that I attribute the deep admiration I have for the human anatomy. This particular colour in the bronze was arrived at thanks to a mixture of luck and the experience of a seasoned professor in the Beaux-Arts metal atelier who helped me strip the original foundry patina and start again. Original sold. A torso sculpture can however be re-commissioned. If you wish to do so, please fill out the enquiry form. (rear view below ) |
