 Environmental sculptor Lorna Green was an honored guest artist at a sculpture symposium in the UK which took place during the Spring of 2011 in Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir.  photo credit: Lorna Green www.lornagreen.com Lorna's "Blue Bird" sculpture installation is a kinetic artwork - waving gently in the breeze along the Grantham Canal. It consists of hazel and other green wood sections of young sustainable trees grown in the Vale of Belvoir. Lorna works with a paint specialist, 3P Paint Co. Ltd., from Stockport, Cheshire, who formulates unique mixes of pigments for her painted projects. Inspired by the site, she created this sculpture in her site-sensitive, site-specific style. The 3Rs: Reclaimed, Recycled, Raw Sculpture Trail is an artist-led initiative by sculptor Laury Dizengremel, who garnered the support of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland at Belvoir Castle and received for the project a major donation from Christie's auction house (European office).
